Jenufa Gleich
Jenufa Gleich is a dramatic soprano with a growing focus on the Wagner repertoire.
She was recently the cover for Isolde (Tristan und Isolde) at Longborough Festival Opera (2026), conducted by Anthony Negus and directed by Carmen Jakobi. At Longborough she has sung Helmwige (Die Walküre), and covered Freia (Das Rheingold) and Sieglinde (Die Walküre).
Her Wagner work includes Third Norn in Götterdämmerung with the Hong Kong Philharmonic under Jaap van Zweden, as well as concert performances of the Liebestod with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lucca.
She recorded the album Träume with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Fabrice Bollon, for BBC Radio 3 and later broadcast on BBC Radio 3. The recording was selected as a Critics’ Choice in Opera News. Reviews noted that “the voice soars… clear and unmannered… a total success” (The Wagner Journal), while MusicWeb International wrote, “I cannot wait to hear Jenufa Gleich in some significant Wagnerian roles.”
The recording of Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, conducted by Fabrice Bollon, was also broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
Other work includes covering Turandot (Festival Pucciniano, Torre del Lago / Teatro Verdi di Pisa), Sélika (L’Africaine, Opera Orchestra of New York, Lincoln Center.
