Welsh Tenor, Osian Wyn Bowen originates from the harbour town of Burry Port, South West Wales. Having graduated with a B.Mus (Hons) in Vocal Studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD). Osian continues to study as a Young Artist at the RWCMD’s David Seligman Opera School, studying under renowned vocal coach John Fisher and Adrian Thompson.

Osian recenty made his operatic debut with Welsh National Opera where he played the role of Jaquino Fidelio. Other roles include Ferrando Cosi Fan Tutte, Title Role Albert Herring, Marco The Gondoliers, Gonzalve L’heure Espagnole and Monostatos Magic Flute for RWCMD Opera and Tamino Magic Flute for Cardiff Opera. In addition, Osian is in demand as a concert soloist. Recent concert appearances include, RWCMD Opera Gala with Carlo Rizzi & WNO Orchestra, guest soloist with South Wales’ Women’s Institute Choir at the Brangwyn Hall, Morriston Orpheus Choir at Caerleon Music Festival, various charity concert’s alongside Sir Bryn Terfel & Rebecca Evans.

In addition to concerts, Osian is a regular performer on TV. Recent recordings include, soloist on Commemoration of Battle of Passchendaele 100 (Recorded Live) & Songs of Praise BBC, Cyngerdd y 10 Tenor, Les Mis – Y Daith, Noson Lawen & Heno S4C.

Osian is the current winner of the prestigious MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year and the Geraint Morris Memorial Award. Additionally, Osian is recipient of the Mansel Thomas Memorial Award for Music, The Manning Singing Prize for Tenors, Aileen Price Award and
D Afan Thomas Award. Osian is gratefully supported by the Owen Lloyd-George Scholarship, John Underwood and John Rath, Aileen Price, Minnie Morgan Scholarship, Thomas & Elizabeth Williams Scholarship, Cronfa Ryan Davies Scholarship and The Tillet Trust.

Upcoming performances include: 2020 RWCMD Opera Gala with Carlo Rizzi & WNO Orchestra, 2020 Welsh Singers Showcase (Winner will represent Wales at Cardiff Singer of the World), Laurie Little Women RWCMD Production 2021
